The
Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW)
Program has a powerful yet practical mission to
stimulate the birth and growth of low-cost, parent-to-parent
interventions that improve health and child development
for low-income families.
In
the communities of the South lies a treasure of underutilized
resources: the people. Despite severe financial hardships
and neglect by mainstream America, the people remain
optimistic and hopeful about the future.
It
is these people, the workers, the parents, the children,
who are the heart of MIHOW.

Across the South: An Introduction to the Maternal Infant
Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW) Program.
